We would be grateful if you could spend 10 minutes of your time completing the following survey. It would be incredibly grateful if you could do so. Please click the link below to complete.

Class of 2020 – Progression Survey

In this section, we have tried to answer some of the most commonly asked questions from students in Y10 and Y11. You will also have access to links and resources that will help you think about and prepare for your future at Oldham Sixth Form College.

With the announcement that exams are now cancelled, I am worried about what I should be doing whilst schools are closed. Is there anything I can do to help me prepare for when I start college?

I have applied to OSFC but still have not had an interview. What will happen now?

Please email admissions@osfc.ac.uk, including your full name and DOB. We will then be able to update you on the status of your application.

I have had an interview with OSFC, but was told I would be given a second interview after Easter. What will happen now?

Due to COVID-19, our interview process has changed. We are currently collating data from your school about your progress, including grades, attendance and/or behaviour. Once we have this information, we will be in touch via email with an update. Please note, we will be in touch after the Easter holidays.

I still need to send ID evidence for my application. How can I still do this?
Please attach an image or scanned copy of your ID and email to admissions@osfc.ac.uk.
I have applied but not sent my grades in yet. How can I do this?
If the grades you are awarded in the summer meet our entry requirements, you can apply as an August Applicant. This will open on 20th August. Please note, places are limited.
I received an invite for New Student’s Day when I was interviewed. Will this be going ahead?
We are closely monitoring government guidance for all our college events. We will be updating students via email once we have more information, so please keep an eye out for messages from OSFC.
What extra-curricular activities do the college offer?

OSFC offers a broad range of extra-curricular opportunities as part of our Xtras programme, click the image below to find out more.

With the announcement that exams are now cancelled, I am worried about what I should be doing whilst schools are closed. Is there anything I can do to help me prepare for when I start college?

We’ve had a number of requests from schools, parents and teachers for tasks and reading lists that year 11s can be working on in preparation for starting at OSFC in September. Below are a range of materials that you can be engaging with to give you a head start in your new qualifications.

If your school is still setting you work, we would urge you to prioritise this.

If you have decided you want to make a course change at enrolment or if you’re still undecided between subjects, then you can complete work for any of these courses, you aren’t limited to the subjects you have been provisionally offered a place on.

We will be adding to the materials below over the summer term, so keep checking this page for updates.

We have been working hard to make our events virtual, so you still have access to the information you need before starting college in September. Our virtual Progress to Success event is a great way to find out more about all the amazing support and activities available at OSFC and is available to watch at www.osfc.ac.uk/progresstosuccess.
