Progress to Success

We are delighted to invite you to our rearranged virtual Progress to Success Evening!

We are aware that many of you had registered to attend this event at Oldham Sixth Form College, and were hoping to find out more about the college and the opportunities and support on offer here. It’s important that you have all the information you need to make your decision about your next step after school, and we don’t want you to feel disadvantaged or uninformed because of the current school and college closures. For this reason, we have decided to run our Progress to Success evening virtually, so you can still hear the same presentation from Senior Leaders and current students from the comfort of your home.

We would also encourage you to click here to find out more about the college, what we can offer, bridging materials to help you prepare for your college subjects, answers to frequently asked questions, and much more.

If you have any questions after having watched the presentation, we are here to help. You can email the marketing team on and they will either answer your questions or direct your email to a member of the Senior Leadership Team. We can also arrange a telephone conversation if preferred – 0161 287 8000

For now, here are a handful of the reasons we think OSFC should be your first choice of college:

  1. We have a huge range of enrichment opportunities, our Xtras, which will enhance your experience at college
  2. We offer the widest choice of subjects in the local area
  3. We are 1 of 50 specialist providers chosen to offer T Levels from 2020
  4. Our pastoral and academic support for both our highest achievers, and those we deem at risk of not passing their A Levels or BTECs is second to none
  5. We have teams dedicated to careers, additional support and welfare that are available to all students
  6. Year on year we have exceptional results
  7. Our progression to universities and apprenticeships is outstanding, with 15-20% of our HE entrants progressing to a Russell Group university, well above national averages, including those heading off to Oxford or Cambridge, or to study the most competitive courses, such as Medicine or Law.

We look forward to welcoming you to OSFC soon, and will keep you updated on future events and opportunities.

Yours faithfully,

Peter Roberts
