We’re delighted that the latest Government figures show that our long standing reputation for student achievement has not only been maintained but, when compared to our high performance in 2013, has improved in every measured area and places us as the best performing provider of 16-18 education in Oldham on the key measure of academic progress.
The latest Performance League Tables, published by the Department for Education in January and taking into account both A level and vocational qualifications, also rate OSFC as the highest ranking college in the local area in terms of points per entry for both. This clearly demonstrates that students progressing to OSFC get a great deal, making better than expected progress and achieving grades that give them a superb platform for higher education and successful careers.
Jayne Clarke, College Principal, said
“This further official recognition of our excellent and continually improving performance is great news, not only for the college but most importantly for the students studying with us and those who have yet to join us. Everyone at OSFC is committed to ensuring we support our students to achieve the best possible outcomes. In addition to the qualifications they achieve with us, our students progress in greater proportions than the average to university, including the most competitive institutions, which will further boost their future prospects. This doesn’t come without a great deal of hard work and I’d like to thank all our staff and students for their contributions to this ongoing success story.”
