What’s more, the College achieved an unparalleled 33 ‘Outstanding – Grade 1’s’ in the contributory grades that go towards making the main judgements.
The April 2008 inspection marked the fourth time Oldham Sixth Form College has been inspected since it opened in 1992, and every time the College has been rated as ‘Outstanding,’ with each report more impressive than the last. Nick Brown OBE, College Principal, said “This latest report has cemented our position as one of the leading Sixth Form Colleges in the country, and is based on our outstanding academic achievement. The Inspectors found that our success rates are consistently above the national average, and this is particularly so in academically challenging subjects such as the Sciences. What’s truly unique about this report isn’t just the outstanding grades but the comments made by the Inspectors – when parents take the time to read the full report they’ll find they’ve got something really special in their hands.”
