A fantastic 149 OSFC students are progressing onto highly competitive degree courses at the UK’s most prestigious (‘Russell Group’) universities this September. This is testament to their hard work, the efforts of their teachers, and the tailored support they have received through such initiatives as the college’s Russell Group Tutor Groups and the Oxbridge Group. We are delighted with their success!
The students are heading off to the top universities across the UK, from Edinburgh to Cardiff, Leeds to Exeter, and Nottingham to the London School of Economics. The college is particularly proud of its close working relationship with the University of Manchester and 73 students will be starting their studies there next month. Equally, all our students who were offered places at Oxford and Cambridge universities have secured the grades to turn their academic dreams into a wonderful reality.
The students will be studying an incredibly wide range of demanding subjects in Higher Education. Courses relating to Law and Medicine remain ever-popular, alongside traditional science subjects, as well as English, History, Geography and Psychology. Nevertheless, many of our students have been excited by the wide range of new possibilities at university, and are moving onto courses as diverse as Marine Biology, Ecology, Landscape Architecture and Japanese.
We look forward to hearing of their continuing success at university and beyond.
