Former OSFC student and professional actress, Katie Arnold, delivered an inspiring talk to A2 Drama and Performance Studies students. Katie, whose stage name is Kate Adler, gave some excellent advice on drama schools, auditioning and finding an agent, as well as sharing her experiences in the professional performance industry.
Elizabeth Ramsay, Course Leader for Drama and Performance Studies said, “it was an absolute pleasure to have Katie back and our current students found her advice invaluable.” Adding that “we’re all incredibly grateful to Katie for taking the time out of her very busy schedule to talk to us. In this highly competitive industry, our students really value this information and guidance.”
Chris Arnold, Curriculum area leader for Sport, Performing and Visual arts reinforced how valuable external speakers are to students’ progression. “Having a fresh perspective on what lies ahead is really important for students. The advice and experience that professionals and OSFC graduates offer is often the clearest picture of the journey ahead for current students and we work hard to make these opportunities available as often as possible.”
