Our annual Business Studies Conference took place on Monday 6th February this year, from 9.30 to 15.40.

For the first time the format of the Conference involved a series of interactive workshops with external speakers.   There were four workshops for Year 12 students and four for Year 13 students.

The speakers for the A2 students were Abul Shama – Talent Acquisition and HR Specialist for Enterprise Rent a Car, Daniel Pybus Tax Specialist at PWC, Graeme Cochrane from MPT (Metrolink Project), and Juanita Charles PCS Union.

 Mehul Barot – Area Sales Manager for British Gypsum, Aashish Khadia - Strategic Information and Analysis Manager at St George’s University of London, Adeel Khan (owner) of Pancake Corner and Bryan Beckingham from the NUT were the speakers for AS students.

Ushma Khadia, tutor for Business Studies at the College who took the lead in organising the day, said “We’re really grateful to all eight speakers who gave up their valuable time to run workshops.  The students thoroughly enjoyed the day and gained an excellent insight into the way businesses operate.
