Team OSFC go Pink for Breast Cancer

Team OSFC
Students, staff and supporters laced up their trainers for an early start on Saturday 2nd July 2011 to join the Wear it Pink run in Alexandra Park, Oldham.
Despite the warm conditions, Team OSFC's 21 runners clocked up 105km (65.2 miles) between them on the 5km course and have so far raised over £700 for breast cancer research. The team are looking forward to the next park run when they return to college in September.
College tutor Shirley Rainey, who organised the event, said: "It was very inspiring to see students and staff running together with members of their families and the local community. The event showed how the college can help to bring members from various parts of the community together to get fit and care about themselves and each other. The sun was shining and everyone was smiling."
