Professor of Neonatal Medicine Visits College
Professor David EdwardsOn 20th October a group of 100 science students were given the fantastic opportunity to find out about current, cutting edge research from an eminent academic in the field of Neonatal Medicine.
Professor David Edwards from Imperial College, London shared his experiences and research interests - including the discovery of the first effective treatment for brain damage in babies and 3d imaging techniques of the human brain and brain function – with the group, who all intend to be part of the next generation of medics.
The lecture was part of Professor Edwards’ visit to Oldham, where he also visited Royton and Crompton School in the morning, as part of the Science Centre developments.
