A group of College Law students had the chance to put theory into practice when they successfully took on the role of prosecutors in a recent mock trial at Oldham Civic Centre.

The defence team were undergraduates from University Campus Oldham and the case was tried by District Judge James Prowse.

Ros Mellor, Course Leader for Law at the College, said “I was delighted by our students’ performance on the day.  They prepared well and presented a compelling case with confidence, convincing the judge with their excellent legal skills.  I’d also like to thank everyone involved in the organisation of the day for giving up their time – it’s an invaluable experience for our students.”
