Young Enterprise Challenge
Young Enterprise Challenge StudentsFollowing their success at the trade fair in Manchester before Christmas, Team Ignite once again competed in the Young Enterprise Challenge at an event in the Trafford Centre on 26th February.
The team’s first task was to ensure they secured a competitive position within the allocated area – an essential starting point since approximately forty teams took part on the day. This was successfully achieved as they were placed directly in front of the entrance.
Trading commenced at 10.00am in the orient section of the Trafford centre and, although slow initially, things slowly picked up as the day progressed.
The team was judged on three main areas, Finance, Marketing and Product Idea. They faced challenging questions from the three judges, which they answered successfully.
The group has now diversified from Oil Lamps to a revision game board for English and Maths. The product is in the initial stages and should be ready for sale shortly.
Tutor Yahya Goga commented “The team was very well organised and prepared really effectively for this event. We’re already looking forward to the next stage of the challenge”.
