College Shows Dunkirk Spirit
The College opened as planned on the 7th January, largely due to the efforts of staff who got together to clear the car park and surrounding areas to ensure the approach was safe for students. Also, planning ahead, the College arranged for a digger to clear vast amounts of snow from the car park on Wednesday afternoon.
College Principal Nick Brown OBE said “A large number of staff have been in College since very early this morning to help clear the car park and it’s been a fantastic operation – a fine example of the Dunkirk spirit! Our clear up even extended along Connaught St and other areas surrounding the College as conditions there were treacherous. We have over 400 students taking exams today so we were determined to have the College open for them, and for lessons, if at all possible.”
