Another Trophy for OSFC!

OSFC Rugby League Team
Danny D'Damo, Iain Younger, Lewis Chamberlain-Straughn, Matt Newton, James Greenwood, Mitch Birch, Josh Myrie, Scott Owen, Andy Birth, Shaun Heginbottom, Josh Peacock, Tom Lees, Conan Millet, Craig Johnson, Mark Breslin, Matt Holt.

On 29th April, our Rugby League Team competed in the Greater Manchester Rugby Union 10s Tournament at Broughton Park in Manchester.

17 teams were entered and OSFC won the 6 games in their round to go on to beat Holy Cross in the final 7-5. The match was won with a converted try in the dying minutes.

All students had a significant part to play in this game as they were playing against seasoned Rugby Union teams and OSFC are a Rugby League team. However, they rose to the occasion and defeated every opponent who stood in their way, much to the pleasure and stress of their coach – rugby union legend Mark Breslin!
