IMG_7246On Friday 11th November 21 year 11 students from The Hathershaw College visited Oldham Sixth Form College to find out what studying French would be like at A level.  This is the first time students at Hathershaw have studied French in year 11 and between them are predicted a fantastic 10 A* and 10 A grades.

The students met French tutor John Page and were treated to a session dedicated to languages, particularly the progression and career options available.  Hathershaw teaches Mrs Bradbury-Hughill said, “There is a buzz and excitement about studying languages amongst our year 11 students, and we’re here at OSFC because we want to encourage this.  It’s great for our students to find out about the opportunities that will open up to them if they have a language A level.”

Year 11 student, Lucy, said, “It has been interesting to see how A Level is different to GCSE French.”  Lareb agreed that, “It has been exciting to find out about the course at OSFC and the experiences we could have, such as the student exchange.  I’m hoping to study here!”
