Ideally, we are seeking members of the local community, or individuals withstrong connections and commitment to the town, to bring a range of skills, knowledge and experience, together with a determination to help the college build on its many strengths and successes. In particular,we are seeking applications from people with expertise in secondary education; audit and risk management;and employment/commercial law.The role of Governor, whilst voluntary and therefore unremunerated, is extremely rewarding and provides opportunitiesfor the development of a broad range of skills, an understanding of a wide variety of strategic issues and the chanceto make a positive difference to the education and development of young people in the local area.If you are keen to be involved in the College’s continuing success, have integrity and the ability to assess complexissues along with good analytical skills, balanced judgment, and the confidence to contribute to decision-making, pleasecontact Jan Jones, Clerk to the Corporation by email: or phone: 0161 287 8000.
