Gayle Forman Visit

Gayle Forman Visit (9)Best-selling American author Gayle Forman dropped in to OSFC on 9 March to talk to students about her new book – I was Here.  During the visit, Gayle also held an interactive session with the audience, setting them “What if….” scenarios to demonstrate how a creative idea can start a story, and took questions afterwards.   Like our previous visiting author Becca Fitzpatrick, Gayle is very popular with the young adult fiction market and one of her books – If I Stay, was made into a film last summer.

Since her visit was so close to Red Nose Day, theCcollege also took the opportunity to hold a cake and crafts sale during the event, raising £104 which will be added to the total raised for Comic Relief through fundraising activities on 13 March.
