This subject will suit you if:

  • Enjoy performing as a soloist and as part of an ensemble.
  • Are interested in contemporary popular music and play guitar, bass, drums, keys, jazz brass, or voice.
  • Would like to develop an understanding of composing and arranging popular music.
  • Are interested in developing an understanding of different popular music styles and world music.
  • Would like to develop theory skills and work toward achieving a Grade 5 theory of music qualification.

Success Story – Jack Monaghan

A gifted mathematician, scientist and actor Jack has so far decided to concentrate on drama after graduating from Cambridge in 2010. His role as Albert in the West End production of War Horse came to an end after 260 performances and he is now auditioning for film, TV and theatre roles.

His latest appearance was in Series 2 of Channel 4’s Black Mirror
