Additional Entry Qualifications
B or above in GCSE Maths is preferable. However, if you have
a C at the Higher Tier you must demonstrate at enrolment that
your algebra is sound by completing a short diagnostic test.
About the Course
There are four areas of study: Pure Maths, Mechanics, Statistics
and Decision Maths. From these four areas you will study six units
for A Level - four Pure Maths units covering Algebra, Geometry,
Calculus and Trigonometry together with two Applied Maths Units.
Popular Subject Combinations
Most subjects, but especially Sciences, Social Sciences,
Business Studies, Economics, IT and Computing.
Possible Progression
Vital for further studies in Maths or Engineering. Useful for
Economics, Business, Computing, IT. Valued as an entry
qualification for all degree courses and employment.
