Student Profiles
The first group of students from OSFC to sit the new Extended Project Qualification - and to have the chance to gain A* at Advanced Level – have just achieved outstanding results. All ten passed with flying colours, five achieving A*, four A and one a B grade.
They are applying for highly competitive courses at some of the best universities in the country, and felt that this new additional qualification would add something different to their UCAS applications and CVs and help give them the “edge” over other applicants. As competition for places increases every year, the College will continue to offer this additional course to suitably qualified students.
Felicity Titjen, Course Tutor for the EPQ at the College, said “This new Qualification helps students develop skills which are valued by both universities and employers. The group worked extremely hard and produced projects of a very high standard, which they then had to present to members of the College’s Senior Management Team. I’m delighted with their results - they should all be very proud of their achievement.”
The ten successful students are listed below, with their former school and the HE courses they are applying for:
- Hennah Ashfaq (Springhill) – Dentistry
