Textiles will focus on the development of design and craft skills. You’ll work with a range of materials and also have the opportunity to explore decorative and wearable design. The course is for those who want to learn how to work through a process of research, design and production which will result in individual and original pieces of work. Whilst you study, you’ll examine a variety of artist and designer work to inspire your own pieces. What Students Say:
“I decided to choose Textiles as one of my Art A Level options because I’m passionate about fashion and being on this course is perfect because of the freedom you’re given to design just about anything. I like the friendly atmosphere here and the tutors – who go out of their way to help with coursework. I came here because of the College’s reputation and would definitely recommend it – the OSFC experience is too good to miss!” – Dominic Oakes
Dominic is planning to go on to university to study Fashion Design when he leaves College and eventually start his own fashion label.
