Textiles will focus on the development of design and craft skills. You’ll work with a range of materials and also have the opportunity to explore decorative and wearable design. The course is for those who want to learn how to work through a process of research, design and production which will result in individual and original pieces of work. Whilst you study, you’ll examine a variety of artist and designer work to inspire your own pieces. Using these methods you will build up a portfolio of practical work that is exciting, inventive and individual.

Student Case Studies:
“I decided to choose Textiles as one of my Art A Level options because I’m passionate about fashion and being on this course is perfect because of the freedom you’re given to design just about anything. I like the friendly atmosphere here and the tutors – who go out of their way to help with coursework. I came here because of the College’s reputation and would definitely recommend it – the OSFC experience is too good to miss!”
Dominic is planning to go on to university to study Fashion Design when he leaves College and eventually start his own fashion label.
