How do I apply?

Our College Information Mornings are on 29th September and 24th November 2012 they will also be advertised in the local press.

Our Partner Schools are:

  • Failsworth

  • Hathershaw

  • Hollingworth BEC

  • Manchester Creative and Media Academy for Girls

  • Middleton Technology College

  • Newman RC College

  • The Oasis Academy Oldham

  • Oldham Academy North

  • Royton & Crompton

  • Saddleworth

  • The Radclyffe

  • Waterhead Academy

If you attend one of these schools, the application procedure is as follows:

  • Prospectuses will be distributed to your school in September 2012.

  • You will receive visits from College staff during the school year 2012/13.

  • Representatives from College will attend Year 11 Parents’ Evenings.

  • You and your parents will be invited to attend our Information Mornings.

  • Application forms, which are included in our prospectus, must be completed and handed in at school.  Any received directly in College will be returned to school.

  • Interviews are held at your school.

  • You will be notified of the outcome of your application at the interview.  Some students may be interviewed twice by College tutors.

  • Student enrolment and induction will take place in August 2013 after GCSE results.

Non-Partner Schools

We have a number of places available for pupils at non-partner schools. The College gives preference to applicants from Oldham schools or who are Oldham residents. The application procedure is as follows:

  • A prospectus which includes our application form can be obtained from College or from your local Connexions or Careers Office from September 2012. In some cases you may be able to obtain one from the Careers office in your school.

  • Our College Information Mornings on 29th September and 24th November 2012 will be advertised in the local press, and an invitation sent to your school.

  • Application forms should be completed as soon as you have received your mock exam results and forwarded to the College as soon as possible.  You are advised to apply by 7th January 2013.  Late applications cannot always be accommodated.

  • College will confirm receipt of your application form.

  • Interviews will be arranged from January 2013 onwards.

  • Confirmation of any offer will be sent to you and you will be asked to return an acceptance pack.

  • Student enrolment and induction will take place in August 2013 after GCSE results.
