I am particularly delighted to welcome you to our website at this time, as Oldham Sixth Form College will celebrate its 20th Anniversary this year. I hope that the information it provides will answer most of your questions about Oldham Sixth Form College and give you a flavour of what it’s like to work and study here.

We have a long tradition of excellence, not only in teaching and learning but also an employer.  This has been confirmed repeatedly by outstanding results, the highest grades possible in successive Ofsted reports and the achievement of three star “Extraordinary” status in the Best Companies Awards.

We are committed to the highest academic standards, together with strong and effective guidance and support, and a varied enrichment programme. This commitment is shared by our high quality academic and support staff, who are dedicated to ensuring the best possible outcomes. Our promise to all our students is a learning experience that will provide every opportunity to succeed.  If you’re interested in studying here, I recommend you take the opportunity to attend one of our Information Mornings.  This will give you the chance to talk to students and staff and find out more about College life.

This is a very exciting time for us.  Our new Science Centre – the first of its kind in the country – opened to students in June and all our science teaching now takes place in its outstanding facilities. In the near future it will host regularly changing exhibitions and lectures from inspirational speakers across the field of science. The new Centre has also enabled us to further improve our facilities across the College, to the benefit of all students.
