Progress Tutor
36 hrs 40 mins per week Mon – Fri, (8.40am – 5.00pm) 40 weeks per year (hours per week may vary from time to time to meet the requirements of the job, for example at enrolment and during admissions interviews), to commence as soon as possible, fixed term until 20th August 2018.

Salary:  pro rata of points 22 – 25 of the Sixth Form College’s Support Staff pay spine, currently £18,311 – £20,255pa.

This role is ideal for someone very interested in working with young people and possibly hoping to teach in the future. As a Progress Tutor you will be responsible for overseeing the progress of a caseload of students, the delivery of group tutorials and providing outstanding individualised pastoral support and advice and guidance. You will be expected to agree and monitor targets for students based around achievement, retention, attendance and progression and develop resources that will help to enable young people to succeed and progress.

The successful candidates will be articulate with great attention to detail. You must have the ability to remain calm under pressure coupled with the capacity to work to tight deadlines efficiently and manage a large caseload.  Self-motivated, you will expected be a good team player with excellent IT skills.  Essential is your ability to work with young people, providing them with the very best experience. Progress Tutors will be expected to work flexibly to ensure that the responsibilities of the role are fulfilled effectively. You will be part of a vibrant, enthusiastic and friendly team. It is desirable that you will be a graduate.

We are looking to appoint an inspirational teacher with excellent subject knowledge to teach Maths A level and Maths GCSE. This post is suitable both for experienced teachers or newly qualified teachers.

Salary for the above posts are points 1-9 on the Sixth Form College teaching pay spine currently £22,937-£38,364 per annum.

Tutor of Art with the possibility of Course Leader for Graphics
Full time, Permanent, to commence 4th January 2018.

We are looking to appoint an inspirational teacher with excellent subject knowledge to teach digital based art (Photography and Graphics) on A Level and Vocational Art and Design courses. This post is suitable both for experienced teachers or newly qualified teachers.

A possible Course Leader post is also available for a suitable candidate.

Full time Human Resources Assistant         

To commence November 2017 to cover a period of Maternity Leave for 12 months or until the return of the postholder.

36 hrs 40 mins per week Mon – Fri, full year.

Salary: Points 18 – 21 of the Sixth Form College’s Support Staff pay spine, currently £16,804 – £17,946 pa

Providing administrative support for the HR department you will display excellent organisation skills and be able to liaise confidently with employees and managers of all levels.  Utilising your excellent communication and customer service skills, you will manage the recruitment and selection process, maintaining accurate and up to date computer records.

The successful candidate will be articulate with great attention to detail.  Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of Word and Excel are essential for this role. A relevant HR qualification would be advantageous.  The ability to remain calm under pressure is a prerequisite coupled with the capacity to work to tight deadlines efficiently. Self-motivated, you will be a good team player.
